It was an honour to be asked to bring the songs of lyric writer Barbara Allyn to life. The collection of 4 sing-a-long picture books for children 3-7 years old. The series needed to have a consistent illustration style and layout design, while infusing individual personality to each book in the series. As well as a logo to place all books under one umbrella.
A consistent approach to layout that included large margins and friendly type treatments provided room for bursts of colourful illustrations. The characters and environments across all books have individual personality while existing in the same world. This is achieved with a restrained colour palette and repetitive use of shapes.
